I began my doula journey about 7 years ago, when my son was born. He was born via emergency C-section, which was a completely unexpected experience. However, his birth shaped me to be the mom, woman, and doula that I am today, and helped me to realize what I need to be doing - helping mothers birth their babies, their way.
My philosophy is your philosophy. This means that I do not bring my own personal birth ideals into your birth experience. What may work for me, may not for you. Your pregnancy and birth are about you, your baby and your family. I am privileged to be a part of something so special, so intimate, and my goal is to help you have a wonderful, empowering birth.
I have been professionally trained by DONA (Doulas of North America ) and am working towards my certification. I have attended several births, apart from the experience of my son's birth.
